✅ What It Does Well
• Premium Build & Design
The S24 FE doesn’t feel like a mid-ranger; with its glass front/back, metal frame, and IP68 rating, it carries a flagship-like feel. That’s a big plus in this price segment.
• Display Quality
The 120Hz AMOLED is bright, smooth, and vivid. Even though it doesn’t hit the absolute highest brightness of the S24/S24+ (which go beyond ~2,600 nits), the 1,900-nits peak is still very good.
• Camera Performance
The 50MP main camera with OIS performs well in good lighting; low light is solid too. The 3× telephoto is useful, though it’s not top-tier compared to some flagship phones. Video capability including 8K@30fps and good stabilization are pluses.
• Software Support & Features
Samsung promises long OS and security updates, which helps future-proof the device. Plus, it includes many “premium” Samsung features (AI tools, DeX, etc.) which adds value.
• Balanced Performance
The Exynos 2400e chip is efficient, and handles everyday use, gaming and multitasking well. Benchmarks show good scores.
⚠️ What It Lacks / Trade-Offs
• Charging Speed
25W wired charging is fairly slow by today’s standards for a phone in this price range. Many competitors offer 45W or higher. Wireless charging is also modest at 15W. If fast top-ups matter to you, this may feel underwhelming.
• Weight & Size
At 213g and with thick bezels, it’s not the most compact or light phone. If you like something slim/light, this isn't that.
• Display Brightness vs Top Flagships
While good, it doesn’t match the highest brightness or resolution of true flagships. If you frequently use your phone in very harsh sunlight or demand extreme clarity (e.g. for VR or top-end media work), you might notice the gap.
• “Fan Edition” Identity Blurring
Some reviewers say that for the price S24 FE is asking, the difference from the full S24/S24+ isn’t that large — making the FE version less of a “budget compromise” and more of a “premium-lite.” If the price is not discounted, you may get better value from something else.
• Proximity Sensor (Virtual)
There are complaints about using a virtual proximity sensor (software-based) instead of a physical one. In certain situations (calls, using covers, etc.) it can misbehave.
⚙️ Who Is This Good For?
The S24 FE is a strong choice if you want something that:
• Feels premium without paying the top-flagship price.
• Takes good photos, especially in daylight, with reliable cameras and solid zoom.
• Will last several years because of software support and durability.
• You appreciate strong design, water resistance, wireless charging, etc.
But maybe less ideal if:
• You need ultra-fast charging.
• You want the absolute top tier display or speed.
• You want something lightweight or ultra-compact.
💡 Value / Price vs Alternatives
• When launched, the S24 FE was priced around 59000Rs (for the 128 GB version). Now It is Available around 35999Rs On Sale
• If you can catch it on sale / discount, that makes it much more attractive. In many markets, its price has come down, boosting its “value per feature” ratio.
• Competing phones in same price range may offer faster charging, slightly better cameras, or stronger performance in certain tasks. So it’s important to compare based on what features matter most to you.
